script and playwriting workshops

The workshops!

For playwriting workshops, the method I like to use is fast-paced and active, they are not a lecture on the fundamentals of playwriting. This isn’t because I want participants to rush, but because the most crippling block for any writer is the idea that what they are writing has to be ‘good’. It doesn’t have to be good, it just has be written. That is the first step. You cannot think your way into a good idea, it’s only through doing that anything that has even the vague appearance of anything ‘good’ starts to emerge and develop. I provide exercises, prompts and ideas to facilitate a safe space for you to come and let loose.
